23-Apr-08 UniDAC First Version Released!

The Core Lab team is glad to announce the final release of Universal Data Access Components. UniDAC is an incredible solution for providing unified access to the popular database servers such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, InterBase, and Firebird.

UniDAC is a powerful library of nonvisual cross-database data access components for Delphi, Delphi for .NET, and C++Builder. It supplies a transparent server-independent interface for working with different database servers so that you can easily switch between different database servers in your cross-database UniDAC-based application.

Also we want to inform you that new ODAC, SDAC, MyDAC, and IBDAC beta versions compatible with UniDAC are available from now on.

Core Lab Software Development proudly presents the final release of the new member of ADO.NET data providers family: dotConnect for SQLite. From now on you can access the popular SQLite database engine with the standard ADO.NET interface you are used to. This reveals new capabilities to your applications, because the same code you wrote for SQL servers now works for local data storages!

In the final release we have thoroughly tested the product, cleared out the code and improved performance. The documentation has been greatly enriched with SQLite-specific information.

We are glad to present UniDAC Beta 2 that provides access to Microsoft SQL Server. This significant improvement is the next step to providing the full claimed UniDAC functionality. Along with the added provider, now the new Beta supports Oracle TimeStamp data type, Oracle Cursors, and has improved support of numeric data types.

In the new DbxSda version 4.25 we introduced support for SQL Server Compact Edition 3.5, and tested DbxSda with SQL Server 2008 CTP 4.

04-Feb-08 The New Version of the TVirtualTable Component Released!

TVirtualTable is a standalone VCL component for working with in-memory datasets. In the new version we have added support for all the newest IDEs up to CodeGear RAD Studio 2007. Also this version contains an ability of exporting and importing data to/from XML files. The set of field types supported by VirtualTable was expanded with several new members.

We are glad to present the new product - UniDAC. UniDAC is the fifth member in the DAC products family. It is based on previous four DACs: ODAC, SDAC, MyDAC, IBDAC.
UniDAC gathers experience of long-term successful development of DACs product line, and provides unified interface to access such popular database servers as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, InterBase, and Firebird.
In the meantime UniDAC 1.00 Beta provides access to Oracle, InterBase and Firebird servers.

09-Jan-08 SDAC Is Tested with SQL Server 2008 CTP 4!

The new SDAC version was tested with SQL Server 2008 CTP 4, which is the newest server from Microsoft. Also the new SDAC supports SQL Server Compact Edition 3.5.

The new versions of OraDirect .NET, MyDirect .NET, PostgreSQLDirect .NET, and SQLDirect .NET are available. In this version you get support for Visual Studio 2008 and Entity Framework Beta 3. The full power of the newest IDE and object-centered development is in your possession (except SQLDirect .NET, where Entity Framework is not supported).

As a step towards better usability, we have added a dialog and a wizard that greatly simplify your work with licensing in the products. From now on you are able to verify and embed licensing information in your projects in a few clicks.

05-Dec-07 New Version of UniDirect .NET Is Available

UniDirect .NET is updated with support for the latest Core Lab ADO.NET data providers. Now OraDirect 4.30, MyDirect 4.25, and PostgreSQLDirect .NET 3.25 are bundled with UniDirect .NET Professional Edition.
